Through playing at his weekly residencies in Manchester (including nights at the Phoenix and The Old Monk) and through sampling the delights that the capital of the north had to offer he eventually fell in love with house music.
Carrying memories born on the 'white isle' jazzbo made the transition to Liverpool where he studied for his degree whilst at the same time becoming involved in the burgeoning city's bubbling underground music scene.
Studies completed, the eager DJ and a likeminded student, friend and DJ decided to start their own monthly night in the city called Souljackin. Now well into its second year the night has gone from strength to strength with an ever-growing following.
Playing solid jackin, deep and funk inflected house music jazzbo helps keep the music policy purely underground. Along with his monthly residency his hunger for live performance has taken him to an array of events and venues across the city!
In October 2007 jazzbo played 3 seperate sets at the Lake of Stars festival in Malawi with MTV coverage alongside Ben Westbeach, Rodney P and Annie Mac as well as a whole host of other world class DJs and musicians from The UK and Africa.
Other gigs in recent months have landed boy wonder at Baby Cream and Uber in Carlisle where he played on the same bill as Danny Howells.
When he gets the chance he also likes to meddle with music production, usually into the small hours. You can find a small selection of his output here for download.
