It was whilst visiting the island of Ibiza that Pierre de Fermat became enamoured with the sounds of Cafe Del Mar and the atmosphere that surrounded the intimate place.
Pierre moved to England from Marseille in France in the autumn of 1996. It was here an interest in the music of Royksopp, Air, New Order and Orbital developed, giving him the inspiration that led him to produce his own music.
Combining synthesizers, pianos and some more quirky instruments Pierre De Fermat takes the listener on a journey through dreamy hypnotic electronica, his music can be described as poignant, psychedelic and ambient.
Pierre seems to pay homage to all his influences, notably those from his native France, and his time spent in Ibiza while giving the music his own special print.
